The Requirements

Who is this program for?

Women…

  • in recovery who are struggling with addiction and want to maintain their sobriety

  • who are mothers; their children are welcome (age restrictions and requirements apply)

  • who are not mothers

  • who are working to provide a safe and stable environment to obtain custody of their child(ren)

What is required of you during this program?

Sobriety

  • Women must submit to random drug/alcohol tests on a regular basis

  • Members must be sober to be accepted into the home and may not use inside or outside of the home

  • Members must be a part of at least one local recovery program and attend a minimum of 3 meetings per week.

Program Fees

Program members are expected to pay monthly fees promptly each month. The monthly program fee is $775 and includes utilities and common household items such as WiFi, toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Before beginning The Vine House Recovery Program, program members must pay a non-refundable $350 intake fee along with a $350 security deposit. Because it is important to us to help set our program members up for success (even out of the home!), we offer a $350 scholarship program upon move-out to go towards future living expenses. The program member is eligible to receive this scholarship after they have completed the minimum 90 day program and leave in good standing.

A Supportive Atmosphere

The Vine House is not just sober living, it is a recovery program. Each woman is expected to conduct herself in a respectful manner that is conducive to her and her fellow member’s recovery. Members have household roles and responsibilities so that no chore/duty becomes the burden of a single member. Each program member must participate equally, including delivering disciplinary actions to each other, when needed, to ensure that the house runs in an effective manner.

What is Unacceptable?

Abuse.

Physical, emotional, and verbal abuse will not be tolerated. You may not attack another with words or otherwise. Disputes and differences should be handled in an adult manor. Please respect each others’ beliefs, ideas, property, etc.

Transgression.

Breaking the law is not conducive to ones’ recovery. Whether it seems to directly relate with addiction or not, household members will be held to a high standard regarding the law. Following rules within the house/program is also required. Failing to do so will result in disciplinary action or expulsion.

Use.

Drug and alcohol use are 100% prohibited, on or off premises, while living in The Vine House. Drug tests will be ran randomly and if a member receives a positive test, they will be expelled immediately. If a household member becomes aware of another member’s relapse and fails to report it to management, both parties will be asked to leave the program.

Damage.

Household members must respect the property of The Vine House, as well as the property belonging to other members. Do not break, steal or otherwise damage items of any kind on the property.

Theft.

Taking another persons property is not acceptable. Do not take food, inventory, medication, etc. that is not yours.

Isolation.

Participating in household meetings, orientations, chores, interviews, and communication is mandatory. Everyone must contribute…The Vine House isn’t just a recovery program, it is a community. Communication and participation is necessary to a functioning community.

Ready to Apply?

First, Read the Requirements.

Here at The Vine House, we hold ourselves to a high standard. Accountability is key and it’s important that you’re truly ready to move forward to this step in your recovery journey. Please make sure you not only read the requirements above, but also the Program Agreement in the “Program Documents” section of this website before applying. In addition to the requirements above, you must have at least 14 days sober without any kind of Medically Assisted Treatment that will affect your intake urinalysis test.

Apply Online.

The application process only takes a few minutes. Click the “APPLY NOW” button above! If you have any questions, please e-mail the program director at management@thevinehouse.net

Phone Interview.

Once the Program Director reviews your online application, she will determine if you meet the qualifications for this recovery program. A follow up email may be sent for clarification regarding your application. If you meet all of the basic requirements for the program then the Program Director will give you a call for a phone interview.

In Person Interview & Tour.

Should the Program Director feel you may be a good fit for the house, she will set you up with an in person interview at The Vine House with the current program members. At this time, the applicant and program members will get a feel if they will be a good fit for each other.

Approval or Denial.

Once your in person interview has been conducted, the house will discuss and decide whether they feel that you’ll be a good fit for this house. During this time, please evaluate your feelings about the program and living environment/rules as well. It is just as important that you feel it is a good fit, as we do! Within 48 hours you will receive notification of your approval or denial into the program.

If you’re approved, there are only a few more steps before moving in! Decide on a move-in date, virtually sign the Program Agreement (and additional documents) that will be sent to you, set up your online portal, and pay your intake fee and security deposit online. The next step is simple…MOVE IN!
